On top of that, the radiant heat from the stones warms your space more evenly than the heat from a steel stove. Many customers report that they can cut their wood or pellet consumption in half.

Our soapstone stoves do not burn dust particles on extremely hot steel plates. The temperature of the stones never gets as high as that of the steel plates of a steel stove. A steel stove heats air that flows along those very hot plates, and that air circulates in the room. Dust particles naturally burn on the plates and are then circulated around the room as well. This is not the case with a true soapstone stove, a stove that works without a steel firebox.

Not with our radiant stoves. Enjoy an even temperature from floor to ceiling. Radiant heat works differently than convection heat. Convection heat is warm air. Cold air is drawn in at the bottom of the steel stove and rises out of the stove as warm air. Because warm air rises, most of the heat ends up at the ceiling. With a soapstone stove that heats with soft infrared radiation, this is not the case. It is almost as warm at floor level as it is at the ceiling.
